"Super" gets picked up for the US market

The indie superhero film "Super", has been picked up from the Toronto International Film Festival for the US audience.

IFC Films have acquired the rights to the film starring Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page (and it was directed by James Gunn) under their new "IFC Midnight" banner, and they paid a 7-figure sum. Magnolia Pictures was also bidding to buy the rights to the film. No word on UK or Ireland rights to the film just yet...
