I watched The Shining and Clockwork Orange last year. The latter not being scary as in ghosts and witches but still pretty damn disturbing. Probably watch the Shining again this year along with Halloween (original) and some Tim Burton classics. If you like Clockwork Orange style disturbing then I'd definately recomend the German original of Funny Games!

Well, John Capenter's Halloween is always good as is Night of the Demons. Two of my all-time favorites are Candyman and Hellraiser...those are friggin' creepy. Honestly though, It's been a long time since I've seen a good horror movie that was make after the early 90's (other than those from George Romero, of course, his are always goo).

3 Re-animator
4 The Omen
5 The House of the Devil
6 The Blob (1988)
7 The Return of the Living Dead
8 The Fly (1986)
9 Behind the Mask [On the grounds that it's a really interesting and original film]

I recommend anything Rob Zombie does. Deviance at it's best.

Lost Highway possibly the creepiest performance by a real murderer Robert Blake. Also Henry Rollins as a C/O (prison guard). Great underrated film. Awesome choice!
