Guillermo del Toro and David Eick developing ’Incredible Hulk’ TV Series for ABC

"Pan's Labyrinth" and "Hellboy" director Guillermo del Toro is teaming up with "Battlestar Galactica" exec producer David Eick for his first TV project: a live-action version of "The Incredible Hulk" for ABC.

According to Deadline, the project will be the first series produced since Disney's acquisition of Marvel last year. The show will portray the Hulk's origin story, following physicist Bruce Banner in his mid-twenties who will be "less reactive and more energized as the world is still his oyster."

Unlike the computerized version featured in the last two films, this latest incarnation of the Hulk will be brought to life using a combination of prosthetics, puppetry, and CGI. Guillermo del Toro is said to be very involved with the overall design of the Hulk's new look, drawing inspiration from the comic books, and the original TV series starring Lou Ferrigno...
