Don't Miss: "The Green Hornet" Live Premiere TONIGHT

Writer/Executive Producer Seth Rogen (who also plays Britt Reid), is committed to showing people something they've never seen before. He thinks his character will bring a unique twist to the "hero" archetype:
"Our world has been flooded by these rich people who are just famous for being the son of someone who did something great once, and that's kind of who I play. Britt Reid is the dude that parties a lot and his father was once a great journalist.
We always wanted to write a hero sidekick movie, and me and [Writer/Executive Producer] Evan [Goldberg] are lifelong comic book fans, and what attracts us are relationships, usually between two dudes, as lame as that sounds."
Cameron Diaz, who plays Lenore Case, couldn't resist working with Rogen and director Michel Gondry:
"I got a phone call that Seth Rogen and Michel Gondry were doing The Green Hornet. Those two names separately are incredibly interesting to me, but together, 'What are you talking about?' Those two minds, I didn't care what it was, it was something that perked up my ears."

I had no idea that Seth Rogen wrote the screenplay for Green Hornet. Not sure if that makes me more confident in this movies... Though it does explain how he got cast as the lead.
