‘The Green Hornet’ has some visual sting, but doesn’t really fly

No, The Green Hornet is not a total fiasco. However, it is a frustrating mess of a film. Director Michel Gondry’s visual flair in 3D is a bit desperate, but still the only reason it manages to fly at all. The main problem? Seth Rogen’s hipster take on the iconic crime fighter can’t reconcile whether it's a post-modern reinvention or a frat-boy parody.
