As evidence that we haven’t definitively emerged from the Dark Ages comes the barbarically bland offering “The Eagle,” a motion picture experience about as entertaining as two hours spent in a bog. Channing Tatum dons the brass breastplate in this clunky work as Marcus Aquila, a 2nd Century Roman warrior looking to clear his family’s name.
