Burlesque: Christina Aguilera plays a naïve Midwestern ingénue trying to make her way on the glittery mean streets of Los Angeles. Cher plays a cynical nightclub owner who gives the doe eyed her shot at the spot light. Kristen Bell plays a corrupted by her environment rival for Aguilera. There’s nothing in this film that wasn’t done better in its chief inspirations Chicago and Showgirls.
