The first images of ‘Battle: Los Angeles’ were full of real promise. Buzz worthy thanks to its imaginative marketing campaign; it lands on the box office beach as the weekend’s de facto must-see. Unfortunately, audiences will be treated to one of the most anemic screenplays in a long while, annihilating a great concept with war movie clichés, wooden acting and a sledgehammer narrative devoid of originality.
