The San Francisco Bay Area is luck to have one of the premium film festival anywhere ad it's here in our own backyard. The fact that the International consistently present some of the most inspired, interesting and cutting edge films is the reason it is "the oldest continuously running film festival in the Americas."
Organized by the San Francisco Film Society, the International is held each spring for two weeks, presenting an average of 150 films from all over the globe. The film society describes itself as an organization that “encourages the progressive evolution of film culture and individual lives by celebrating the transformative power of the moving image in all its forms.”
