Lightning was not captured by Marvel’s intended-to-be-an-epic production of ‘Thor.’ It may boast a formidable ensemble cast and a supremely talented director who knows his way around mythic themes. Yet, genre fatigue has definitely robbed this enterprise’s ability to generate wonder. For all its sound and fury, scale and ambition, how is it possible ‘Thor’ feels so incredibly slight?
