What if we used our military satellites to broadcast the web to the world for free? Radio America, move over for "Free Net America". We make the web available and un-block-able from any government's interference or censorship? What if we had the news/entertainment/movies as "apps" which people could "subscribe" to? what if we also spent the money to make social media an avenue to direct democracy and individual defined privacy?

When I said of "any government" I meant 'ours' as well. All progress begins as human thought, why not use the creativity that we have as a species to deal with our self-made problems? Why do we seem to think that only certain people can think or can think of "good" ideas? If we create a market place of public ideas that all can work on and share in the benefits of, what would this society look like? We have an abundance of natural resources, we just have to figure out how to farm smart and w/o pesticides which can kill US, for example. ;-)

Well, you would certainly appear to have what it takes to facilitate this kind of thing: Write an OpEd piece and get it out to as many venues as possible, and perhaps give a public presentation during social media week this Feb. in Manhattan. Best regards.
