The writer of the comic book 'Cowboys & Aliens' Steven Bunti, has filed a lawsuit against Dreamworks, Universal Studios and film creator Scott Mitchell Rosenberg for copyright infringement on the movie of the same name.

In the lawsuit, Steven Bunti claims Platinum used a similar story in the 1994 comic strip, even if he filed the original, published in "Bizarre Fantasy", two months after the film was released. Bunti is seeking damages for the infringement case. The film itself, with a 'Tomatometer' score of 44% on Rotten Tomatoes, grossed over $140m at the box office, less than the estimated $163m it budgeted.
