    • This merger is terrible. Especially for SAG. The only people who will benefit from this merger are the managers who will make a living off the back of mostly unemployed Actors. VOTE NO ON MERGER!

I'm not trying to pick a fight here, but am very curious as to why you think the merger is not a good idea. Are there specific reasons that SAG and AFTRA members should know about? When you mention that managers will make a living off the merger, do you mean talent managers?

I'm not a member of either union, but as someone who works in the entertainment industry, am wondering what the main issues against a merger might be.

    • The two major actors unions will probably merge this year. I for one think this will push AFTRA to get a little gutsier in pushing for a bigger piece of the pie when it comes to digital. Handel knows all the players and lays out the issues well.
