Tuesday Twitterings: New Moon
Oh god, I get it. New Moon comes out Friday, premiered last night and it's going to be the bees' knees for weeks. Or whatever it is you blasted sparkly Twihards think is cool these days. Back in my day, we only had one kind of vampire: the one that killed you! And Wesley Snipes kill him!
Normally I'd pick and showcase some tweets about the trending topic that is New Moon. It's been trending like a monster all day long as countless tweens and delusional fan-girls get all excited for this film. And you know what? That's fine. I've come to accept rabid fanboy mania.
After all, Paramount banked on it for Paranormal Activity. Why shouldn't Summit rely on the Twilight Saga as a gigantic cash cow to help them finance and push other projects like Furry Vengeance, which involves Brendan Fraiser fighting woodland creatures. Just imagine how much money Hot Topic will sink into that!
But I shouldn't gripe too much. Genre films are the moneymakers after all.
So trend onward, you horrendously sparkly film. Trend on.
