The Weekend Peekend: Vampires, Michael Cera and Rom-Coms OH MY. God.
The new films this weekend make our head spin with sheer boredom: Willem Dafoe fighting vampires? Michael Cera vs. Michael Vera? Amy Adams' ass not in incredibly small boy pants? God, what else do we have to live for?
A new Tim Allen film? We'll settle for that. We covered your DVDo's and DVDon'ts earlier this week, but let Brett and Ellen help you decide your theatrical peeks this weekend.
On Next Week's Rotten Tomatoes Show:
- -Daybreakers is a vampire b-movie wherein the bloodsuckers are the majority, humans are the minority and Ethan Hawke wears suits.
- -Youth in Revolt involves Michael Cera doing his thing and adopting a bad-ass personality.
- -Leap Year has Amy Adams and Matthew Goode in rom-com that apparently makes women bend to its' well despite being bad.
See either three of this movies this weekend and upload your review to Current by Sunday 1/10 at midnight; you could get on next week's Rotten Tomatoes Show and $100 if we use it on TV.
What else is out this weekend?
- -Crazy on the Outside is Tim Allen's directorial debut about a convict getting out of prison and then...you know, give it a chance. [NY/LA]
- -Wonderful World stars Matthew Broderick and Michael K. Williams. It is worth it. [NY/LA]
- -Bitch Slap is about bitches and slapping. No, seriously. [NY/LA/SF]
