Saturday's Important News: The Sundance Acquisition Edition

We're getting the heck out of Park City today, so that's why this entire bit will be devoted to the news you can use from Sundance.
- -Waiting for Superman was the first festival film to be acquired, despite having done so the day before the fest began.
- -Buried was acquired by Lionsgate and will likely emerge sometime in '09.
- -Holy Rollers has its' French rights acquired by Flache Pyramide. No U.S. distributor yet.
- -Twelve is picked up by Hannover House, who no one has ever heard of before.
- -The Killer Inside Me goes to IFC's VOD/Theater model and the Berlin Film Festival.
- -Blue Valentine gets acquired by The Weinstein Company for all of Harvey's crying/masturbation needs after Miramax's death.
- -Hesher went relatively early to Newmarket because people loved (500) Days of Summer.
- -Undertow goes to Wolfe Releasing.
- -The Kids Are All Right will bring the phrase "watch her get Ruffaloed" into our lexicon thanks to Focus Features.
