Why is this brilliant? Prince recognized long ago the music business as he and everyone else knew it was on its way to dying. He's been exploring different distribution models & methods for years now, ever since his public split with Warner Bros. He was the first major artist to go to an all digital distribution model. He was the first to give his new CD's away for free at concerts and actually bake the cost of the CD into the cost of the ticket and count it as a unit sold. Again, here's a new idea that has the music biz on its heels.
