Carnival Sambanista

Rio de Janeiro's world-famous Sambadrome hosts the top samba schools for several nights of glittering parades during the celebration of Carnival. The shows go on until dawn as endless rows of samba school dancers and giant, elaborate floats pass by packed spectator stands.

    • I march in it every year with Vila Isabel. There is NOTHING like it, and nothing like winning, (I got to march and win in 2006)! The team that lost this year, lost because their main dancing queen's "patch" covering her, ummm....business, was only 4CMs big. It was funny because judges had to come down and measure it! She sure looked naked to me!
