The Genie has been putting it down in the bay for years and is a true innovator with scratch guitar. Just the fact that he's controlling his line6 foot pedal with his feet, while simultaneously doing all sorts of technical work on the guitar, is pretty incredible. To the comments below about how his show is only good for 20min, I'd have to disagree, anyone that has any interest in instrumental music would be entertained by the Genie for hours because of the diversity of techniques and sounds he uses and he changes up his live show every time I?ve seen him. For somebody looking for words in their music they might not be entertained by the Genie?s guitar wizardry, but the few times I?ve seen the Genie collaborate with M.C.s like Duece Eclipse, the outcome was inspiring, putting a fresh twist on the creation of live hip hop music. This cat is definitely on some next level shit.

I've seen this guy live and he's really great...for about 20 minutes. Both times I've seen him they gave him way too long of a set, and the crowd got really antsy. It kind of starts feeling like a jam band-type thing, where one song just goes on and on...and on...so if you're into that, you'll love him live. If they just gave him about 20 minutes, it'd be awesome, and leave the crowd wanting more.
