WORLDS MOST IMPORTANT 6-SECOND DRUM LOOP

4u2c
this video is an amazing piece about one of the most famous drum beats. the narrator explains the history and provides some very interesting analysis/theories about the beat. it is kind of long, but if you love music, then this is definitely a must watch.***enjoy***

    • awesome! what a great article. so good to get some background on the loop that has shaped my raving career! the voice & lack of visuals really didn't bother me, i was hooked as soon as i heard the loop & had to listen to the end!! all hail the Amen!!

    • it's an interesting essay and take on this particular breakbeat. the script does needs a little work though, and the vo is too monotonous for tv in my worthless opinion. it's recorded well, and read well, but more of a book on tape feel, somethin' i'd be listing to a long drive. on the flipside, alfresco's got a good point bout closin our eyes...been working on a promo concept along those lines, so stay tuned. i do think this story, in pod length, with some aesthetic enhancements, would be fun to see (and of course, hear) on current.

i'm surprised no one's commented on how the script is as long as the record on the turntable, which is playing in real time ;)

    • You were suppose to be listening not watching. Being sucked in visuals would have destroyed the story. Granted - the voice was akin to computer synth but... what did you ache for with this story? Not more pictures but more amen.

Even on Current - once in a while - everyone should take a break, close their collective eyes, and imagine where we were, where we are, and where we're going.

    • I kind of like the back-and-forth between the monotone narrator and the frenetic beat. Agree that some visuals would help -- in fact, I think it could make a killer story for Current if had the right visual treatment and was tightened up a bit.

    • It's definitely all really interesting information, but what's with just having the record player as a visual? And unfortunately the guy's voice puts me to sleep...
