mr gore i know you see the problem. i know you have suffered in your fight for our country. i can only imagine the pain of having the presidency snatched from your hands in your moment of triumph.the fact that there was barely a whine about it must have been very difficult for you. but sir, our constitution needs defending and you are the only one in position who understands the danger our grandchildren face, and is hu(man) enough to admit it. and we call on you sir, as the peoples voice of reason please defend our nation please defend our planet. . you see who and more importantly WHAT the current "pretenders" for the presidency are on the republican ticket. (i include hillary in this group too.). can you leave us to these wolves? these vultures in eagles clothing? but choose anyone to run with. choose Stephen Colbert for all i care you sir will have this homes vote.

I am going to be so overwhelmingly sad if Al Gore decides - for whatever reason - not to try to become President. He is by far the most qualified to lead this country, and the best positioned to tackle the #1 issue of our age - the Climate Crisis. I simply do not believe that he can influence this issue more as a private citizen than he could as President ( and they're not necessarily mutually exclusive ). While Mr. Gore has "no plans" to run for the office right now, his plans need to change - and change quick - because this planet is running out of time. That, and that other little problem of our Constitution being shredded almost daily, and Media conglomoration, and oh ... something called Iraq ( or was that Iran? ) ...

Please Mr. Gore ... this is uniquely your moment, and the window gets smaller every day. There's truly too much at stake, for your plans NOT to change. You have achieved great things, and will always have prestige, and the world's respect. But now is no time to rest on your laurels. Take on this political fight ( on your terms ) , and position yourself to do the most good ( on so many issues ) for the most people.

You ARE our President. Godspeed.
