I agree with everything but the failure of N.O.R.A.D.
No way N.O.R.A.D. could have prevented the airliners from reaching the WTC in that short a timespan.
Not following up on tips, yeah, but the North American Air Defense system being able to spot flight plan changes on domestic carrier flights that originated within 60 minutes of the WTC without prior knowledge of the way the attacks were carried out? - no way.
I'm on board with everything else from Bush and Cheney NEEDING a 9/11 type attack to push for martial law, the Patriot Act, warrantless wiretapping, foreign gulags, paid mercenaries and ALL the other stuff.
You just lose too many people when EVERYTHING that happened is all rolled together and painted as though it were perfectly orchestrated to make it seem like everything was part of one big gigantic conspiracy.
Like I say, I most certainly believe Bush and Cheney are Neo-Fascists and that they have married the government with multi-national corporations to create a very sustainable fascist state.
However, notice how Bush splits with other Republicans on immigration. Some think it the flap is just something to take our eyes off of Iraq but I don't.
I see Democratic leaders who seem to be involved in wanting illegal immigration, too.
I used to think they wanted it for the latino vote but I don't think so anymore.
I believe the top Democratic leaders may be sitting on their hands on impeachment and are throwing in with Bush as the result of a pact between the two parties' top leaders to "split the spoils" and remain in power.
I think those already in leadership positions may be preparing to use the flood of illegal immigrants to get ready to replace the labor force, the police and prison guards when the middle class realizes what is happening and tries to revolt!
It is scary but why else would Pelosi and Reid not be jumping at the chance to impeach Bush and Cheney unless they had been offered continuing leadership roles in return for not following through with what so many people want and what SHOULD be the natural result of the flaunting of the rule of law by the Bush Administration?
