Jon Wilde is showing some love for gig posters in his online music blog today (URL: below), urging anybody with eyes to log on to gigposters.com, a site which showcases, erm, gig posters from thousands of artists and events over the years. 'At their best, the new generation of gig poster artists create images that transcend commercial purpose and graphic design, attaining the status of true art. A few of the artists represented (Rob Jones, Dan Stiles, Jay Ryan and Scrojo) are so in-demand they've become the unofficial stars of the poster scene'. Check it out!

    • I would definitely go to this. How could you not? Anyways, I love gig posters. They're great works of art and I'm glad they get recognized well beyond their life as a promo.
