Before the Ed Banger crew began taking the sounds of Daft Punk's Discovery and flipping them inside-out, Toronto's MSTRKRFT (pronounced like "Master Craft") had the equation down pat. Formed from the remains of Death From Above 1979, the duo of Jesse Keeler and Al-P began dropping gritty club anthems full of fuzzy synths and seductive beats in 2004 -- years before French-based acts like Justice, Uffie, and Sebastian scored dance floor hits.
