“We don’t torture”
I agree with your viewpoint because what happened to an innocent man was denied by our government for so long and then they admit to it and have the nerve to say it wasn’t torture, I feel that is very wrong. First there were confessions made by our own troops. Second there was physical evidence to back it up. Lastly bush has the nerve to say its not torture. The core democratic value that backs this up is life because we are obviously not giving people that right!

Kurnaz's story sounds so much like the court system in another powerful country from 1933 to 1945. Don't blame Bush though. The system let it happen, Congress sold away its birthright and the Supreme court has taken a long time in reacting. Fear is a very powerful emotion. Perhaps we need to return to the sixties,
Make Love not War? That seems to be the only emotion that can hold its own against fear.
