They are preparing to release their new album and this single "All Hope is Gone" seems to be the right single to get the album going.
This album will be their forth album released after 2005's "Vol 3: The Subliminal Verses" which is known for "Duality" and their song feature on Guitar Hero 3 "Before I Forget."
