Lifestyles in Dakar favor frequent festivals and singing after work is popular. I caught this clip of a woman singing when I was on my balcony one evening. You will hear birds singing, too. You can play this as a loop if you're able. I do, sometimes. The control the woman has over her voice is amazing to me. I have no idea who the woman was or where she was when I heard her singing. The audio is rough because I recorded it using my cellphone. Every time I listen to it, I am reminded of how it felt to be in Dakar on a balmy evening in March.
