Rage Against the Machine performs at the RNC in protest, not support. Proving to be a more hostile event, the Daily Fix shows you the chaos and protests outside the convention.

    • When was the last time Rage played a concert?
I thought that the band had disbanded and was now Audio Slave. Either way it's good to see them back together doing what they are suposed to do, rile the people up so that they finaly decided to rally together.

    • If I'm shocked about anything, it's the way the police captures protestors.
I've noticed this on other videos as well; they're like sharks.

Quite scary, if you ask me.

    • Let the people speak! There are many of us who have sat back feeling helpless as the political machine wove its tapestry of deceit for years. It is to much of a risk to do nothing anymore. The momentum that Obama has started in this country and around the world cannot be stopped any longer!

    • The Republican administration's restraint on free speech isn't dissimilar to the reaction of the Chinese government to the "FreeTibet" protests. Scary.

    • Obama supporters sound as if they want to fight. But they will have nothing to fight with when his liberal appointed justices take away their guns. Don't let name calling be your greatest weapon. Push for the restoration of the Bill of Rights, no matter what candidate you support. Not only do we need bipartisan cooperation in congress, we also need it on a neighborhood level if we ever want to grow as a nation.

I must say I've recently come to agree with you BullDogg. I'm an Obama supporter mainly because I want someone who will focus on the economy and not just war. I've always been FOR gun control, but after seeing how police-state America is becoming, I'm starting to understand why the authors of the constitution found it important to include the right to bear arms.

I doubt that Obama is going to bring the end of a constitutional right, though. If that's your only gripe against him, I hope you'll reconsider.

    • Just show that the Communist supporters are quite violent. Nothing new in that. Stalin killed millions to get his way.

Democrats have Hammas, Communist USA and an Impeached president endorsing their candidate and you worry about the Commies getting rough.
Vote Obama and support the effort to bring down the country to this level.

How sadly ignorant. Sometimes I wonder how we got in this mess in the first place, but then I'm reminded that America is unfortunately filled with Dodo's like you flapping their oil drenched wings gasping for breath. Drown dody, drown.

So liberals and socialists started the illegal and immoral Iraq War against a country that had no WMD's and had no link to 9-11?

You're every bit the FOOL your posts reveal.

hate/rage against liberals = Nazism. unfortunately there hasn't been a regime that goes around locking up and gassing conservatives... probably because the idea of locking up and gassing people who have done no wrong only sits well with conservatives and not liberals.

JUST A HINT : BEFORE YOU EXPORT DEMOCRACY, TRY HAVING IT AT HOME !

PS : I WONT THINK LIKE YOU WANT ME TOO EITHER ;)

"A people living under the perpetual menace of war and invasion is very easy to govern. It demands no social reforms. It does not haggle over expenditures for armaments and military equipment. It pays without discussion, it ruins itself, and that is an excellent thing for the syndicates of financiers and manufacturers for whom patriotic terrors are an abundant source of gain" - Anatole France

Perhaps they had instruments and other gear that needed to be transported with them, you nitpicking broadcaster of all things trivial.

The U.S. Armed Forces consume enough enough oil to rank 46th in the world on the list of countries that use oil.

So take your all the unneeded Bradley Fighting Vehicles in Iraq and shove them where the sun never shines (up Bush's butt) since he attacked a country that had no WMD's and no link to 9-11.

You know, your attempt to trivialize things is a perfect example of your worthlessness as a contributor to society.

    • I have lived a long life and I have witnessed many events. This reminds me of the Nixon days. Since Bush became president, why are Americans no longer allowed to protest against the political decisions of the government? The first time I read about protestors being placed in areas away from the event taking place and being kept there by police guard, my first thought was China, Russia, Cuba.....comunist control. How can this happen the the United States of American that we can no longer protest the wrongs of the government that is supposed to be serving us..the people. I fear for the future of my children and grandchildren. Bush has single handedly ruined out economy, lied to us about a war that should never have happened, wasted the lives of our youth soldiers, disgraced us in the eyes of our former friends overseas. If I were young again, I would stand beside them and protest until the end. God bless American and God bless the people who have the courage to protest. They have that right!

    • Everybody has a right to peacefully protest. Chanting "fuck you" and rioting all over the Capitol is NOT peaceful.

I was watching McCain's speech yesterday, and it was interrupted about 5-6 times by protesters inside the building.

People should have the right to protest peacefully, but in my opinion if the riot police hadn't been there the convention hall would have been overrun.

If you are going to protest against a government, show some human decency, no matter what you think.

Where was the coverage of Republican protesters at the DNC? I seem to remember the 2004 Boston DNC, where protesters were CAGED.

      Quit telling one-sided stories!

calm seeming.....i love it, you dont see what happened before---i love it when people assume the cops are wrong without seeing the whole story. the guy in the story even says, "after trying to cross a police line", so your telling me you no more than someone who was there.

im all for justice, i just like to get the whole story before i judge something...esp. when i only see about 4 seconds of something.

ok. have you thought about the REASON why there were so many protesters. why is it that during the rnc convention there were soooo many (and i mean a lot, and then some) compared to the dnc convention. i think the general public is just tired of the shit! unless you are in the top 1 percent of the government economically speaking, why bother supporting the republicans? i dont get it. they definitely dont care about you. ie. health care, unemployment rate, foreclosures, gas prices, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.etc.etc.etc.

saying "f u" is free speech. You or I may not like it but it still is speech...So is interrupting at a convention. I'm sure most, if not all, of those people were taken outside. And the people at the Repub. convention had the right to do that.
It's a very different ballgame when the police tear gas and attack people with no weapons, etc. who are posing no real threat, just speaking words they don't want to hear or don't like.
Isn't this what Free Speech is all about? We don't have to like it but people do have the right to speak.

    • So we are free to protest as long as we go to jail and pay a fine? WTF is wrong with this ass-backward country? We started from rebellion and should have listened to Thomas Jefferson -"Every generation needs a new revolution." and "An honest man can feel no pleasure in the exercise of power over his fellow citizens." Then the riot police should feel like complete demons or a**holes for brutalizing unarmed protesters.
And the protesters should never incite the police to violence. We just can't live together peacefully, can we?

    • Here is an eerie sight we caught downtown during this protest: the police lined up in front of Mickey's Dining Car. Can you imagine being the diner's line cook and getting stuck inside during the protest?
