    • This has been a hard month for me. being a huge pink floyd fan and a dave matthews fan. losing 2 members so close together has been very hard for me to grasp. Richard Wright was very under estimated!!! Just listen to "us and them" or echoes.. and you will hear and understand why.. I saw Richard with Pink floyd in 1994 in Madison Wi. ( i was only 14 ) and with Gilmour a few years ago. You see them. then there gone. only there will be no tour bus to bring him back to the stage this time. Music lost an icon of an icon. Richard wright may be gone. but his music will Always..... Shine on...... :(

    • Unfortunately this Harvest moon really lived up to its name. My sincere condolences to the family & hope Rick suffered only minimally. Losing a rock icon in our music family sucks-I always hoped they would get together again & maybe do a final tour. As a major fan, Pink Floyd carved out a musical niche that's hard to peg, always playing a unique style & blend of music influenced directly from blues, psychedelic, electronic, rock 'n' roll & and that intangible chemistry of a band that brings the best out of everyone playing with a certain unmatched energy evidenced by the shear power of their sound. I have been drawn to their wonderful, timeless music for years. The parts were never greater than the sum, so to lose Rick is nothing short of a major blow to a band that contributed so much to the music world & its fans. RIP Rick-what a wild ride. Just think, they'll still be playing DSOTM in 100 years!

    • Even though I always knew Pink Floyd were done, this makes it final. I can think of no better finish than their reunion at Live 8. Even though I am fast approaching 50, I still have a hard time believing those beautiful young boys, Syd especially, are either passed on or in their 60's. Time flies when yer havin' fun.

Thanks for all the sounds, guys.

    • Is this dude related to the great American novelist who wrote "Black Boy"? Anyone with a detailed biography of him?

    • Pink Floyd was just O.G. Legendary, Perfect, and Ever Changing, more like life itself. That is why the name stuck, and we will be watching Laser-floyd shows forever!

    • Its hard to describe how sad it is that you have passed but to be so happy for the minds that you opened while you were with us. You gave me many happy times and made me feel so good. I hope I meet you in the Cosmos.

looks alright from where i stand
i'm the man on the outside looking in
      waiting on the first step
show me where the key is kept
point me down the right line
      cause it's time...
to let me in from the cold
      turn my led into gold
cause there's a chill wind blowing in my soul
and I think I'm growing old....

    • When the stars you grew up listening to start dying off it means your getting old and your time is coming. I better start accomplishing something or my obituary is going to be terrible. Note to self, stop wasting time on this dumb ass site.

    • ..the political ships sail on to the horizon......
      their lips move...........
but I cant trust what they say.........
      and I have become.........
      uncomfortable numb..........
Thank you Richard and all members of Pink Floyd.....
For opening minds that were in dire need.......
and for making this planet more of the great Carnival....
that is was always intended to be....Golden Ruler....Will...
