Backyard Wrestling Diva

BooksBrown
While WWE's Diva's are heating up the pages of Playboy, Ms. Chivus, a 21 year old Latina backyard wrestler, is rising through the ranks by fighting the boys in the Underground Wrestling Alliance. As the only female member of the UGWA, Ms. Chivus squares off with guys almost twice her size and defines her own role as the anti Diva ass kicker.

I believe it's called "Metal Explosion" by Swiss artists Nicolas Neidhardt & Philippe Falcao. I don't know how anyone would be able to download it unless they're a Current producer, as it is available among the Current pool of music.

    • As for "looks vs integrity," I like them both. I think there is a place for both, but they each person has to represent themself for what they are, respectfully. I also seem to think that one is more important in this world than the other, but that has no application here. A wrestler should know how to wrestle, and a model should know how to model, and neither should title themself if they're not mastering their craft.

I don't know how many Hip Hop emcees I've heard call themselves rappers, when they're writers (if that). I've heard people say they know home repair, when the closest thing they've come to plumbing is their own enima (ewww). And then there's me... I think I'm a funny guy, but look at my lousy jokes!...

People and their egos... put them in check!

No, actually I don't think so. But I'd rather find out as much information as possible, and try to have it organized as much as possible, so people do not get hurt. Do you think a parent would validate their child potentially killing themselves? My daughter has and always train as hard as possible just so she is safe. We'd yank her out if we thought she was not doing what she is supposed to.

Thats the problem right there with EVERY mainstream spot I've ever seen involving backyard wresting. The news stations find a target n go out n decide to crucify us and usually find the most moronic people doing it to set an example for the rest of us.
We arent pros, but we do have pro trained guys on the roster to supervise our training to make sure everyone is at the level where they can perform without injury to themselves or their opponents. We train new wrestlers for as long as they need to be trained before we even let them in a match.
Comparing Backyard wrestling to being a doctor is ridiculous. I've been doing this for 13 years and We started out with no training at all whatsoever but we've had over a decade to figure out the right way to do this. If you want to compare what we do to anything, compare it to High school football, or even high school wrestling. In all my years doing this we've had 3 injuries you could call serious, and everyone of those injuries weren't bad enough to do anything but take the individual out for a couple months at most. Furthurmore, We've had NO DEATHS. Can you say that for the sports I spoke of above? Can you say that about the WWE? This is why I dont even like to call it backyardwrestling because the media in general, current TV excluded, have painted such a picture that
you automatically have negative images that come with it. We're Underground. We're not trying to be what you see on TV, we are our own animal completely.

jc has a point, although our considrations are different. i am focused on the integrity, which effects people globally. he's talking about the glorification of the danger, which isn't really highlighted in this video. i can see another video that might do it, but probably not on current tv. in my case, however, jc might be prone to indulge in soft-core wrestling, which is less life threating immediately, but unapologetically affects the social norm.

for the record, i'm not sure what jc stance is there, but I appreciate his comments on her scruples.

thanks for the video comment, jc. i appreciate the time and thoughtfulness. i'm not sure, though, our pod glorifies the 'danger' involved with 'backyard' wrestling alliances as much as it simply alludes to the reasonably anticipated risk involved with any activity of this sort (from high school wrestling to mma training).

now, as to whether in fact 'backyard' wrestling is more dangerous than other sports would depend on the data. And I'm not sure there is enough reliable data on # of backyard wrestlers, injuries, severity of injuries, etc. vs other more thoroughly documented sports like football or basketball. On the anecdotal tip, Slash seems to suggest it is no more dangerous than other shit him and his friends have been involved with. And perhaps much of society's fear of the backyard wrestling does stem from exaggerated stereotypes about what takes place at this events.

thanks for all the comments guys. i guess the point i was trying to make was that i think it's cool that a woman like that can become popular, i just wish that it was happening in a legit federation.

The only problem is a legit business isn't always the best for artists, or even entertainers. Unlike in Mexico and Japan, which is a close version of what the people at UGWA are trying to achieve. Just another choice for people that's all. Not to knock them out of existance.

what makes a fed legit? if I charged my guys $5,000 to come get trained?
The percentage of Pro Wrestlers that make enough doing this to live off it is very small, and if you make it to that top percentage, you get to travel 300 days a year, and have no control over the course you take as you go.
We do this as a hobby and work on the side. Most Pro's do that too. the Difference is they first forked out 5 g's to get the title of pro.
I got guys on my roster that have gone onto the pros, and if thats what someone wants to do, more power to them, but this is first and foremost a hobby. If your Old man n his buddies got together n played softball on the weekend or golfed, you gonna give em shit cuz he's not properly trained? The point is if you are tired of the soap opera you see on TV, there's an alternative. People like me putting it down for the love of wrestling. Putting on Action packed matches to entertain you, not midget weddings and monsters coming back from the Dead like you'd see in the "Legit wrestling organizations.

    • Most guys would like a trophy chick, but she isn't it. She wants to earn her spot not be given it. She was raised this way not only for wrestling but in everything she does, or wants. I should and do know since I am her mom.

    • i'm curious to hear from all of the other wrestlers from the alliance about whether they share the same thoughts of her "integrity versus looks," because i dont think they all share that idea. i know many of the guys from wrestling spots that would rather have a trophy chick at their side. i cant imagine that tits and ass wouldn't win this battle.

anyway, it might be cool to have her square off against a half-naked big-breasted model. i wonder who people would be rooting for.

Oh I would love to have a bunch of hotties rolling around in the ring, heres the problem with that, at least from a backyard standpoint. I've put various girlfriends of mine and some of the wrestlers into the ring and attempted to train them, but 100% of them on bump number one decided they couldn't do it. We did have a plan to put Alex Andrew's Hot ex up against my hot ex in a jello bikini wrestling match, but obviously as they're both our ex's now, thats not gonna happen......but who knows what the future will bring. If it happens with different girls it'll definitely be on the internet.

well, i think this girl represents the alternate ideas of integrity in the underground well, like the people from underground punk or underground hip hop. i like the pod, because she trys to have better values in her wrestling character...

but like i said, i dont think others care to support and share that opinion with all of their heart. jello bikini match? tell me what the value is there. i want to hear from her and her girlfriends and the other wrestlers about that.

maybe somebody else has an opinion on this

theres no value it that at all other then guys are horny n liek to see that kinda stuff. We try to keep the UGWA based on the actual wrestling, but you gotta have fun n have matches sometimes that are just tere for entertainment to spice things up.

This is something that comes up a lot. I don't claim that we're pro's. but I have had pro trained guys on my roster, and still do have a couple so we do our best to make sure everyone can at least fall without injuring themselves and drop their opponents without injuring them. We used to catch a lot of slack for this back in high school and my argument then still stands today.
No one has ever died in a UGWA ring, but can you say the same about High school Football? And would you consider that safe?

Well, it's safe, because it is fake. However, every "real" sport has it's inherent risks. Wrestling at every level has fewer major injuries then most other sports.
