    • well rap aint exactly my thing, but, this guy kept his eye on his goal even when he was having troubles and could have just given up. This goes to show, you can in fact put you sites high and seek a goal for yourself, no matter who you are, in America. We are lucky. We have the right to try. It is all about you, how hard you are willing to work for what you want. Period.

    • I like what the teacher had to say - if you have access to the media, use your voice to be politically active. Self gratification doesn't make change.

So true! His positive influence is apparent in Hamilton's determination for success.

    • This is a really positive story and goes a long way to show the strong work ethic required. Hamilton certainly seems wise beyond his years (for lack of a better expression) and will definitely be one to watch for in the near future.

My only reservation with Mr. Hamilton's pod is the line about "making it out the 'hood." I'm not from the hood per se, so I may be completely out of turn here, but it seems that if one comes from the hood and earns some level of success, then the next "logical" step is to leave the hood. Where I'm from, they call it the "Brain Drain."

Obviously, through pods like this one and other media accounts, the hood still has MANY positives to offer the world.
