Quincey Tones And DJ Vadim Unite As Cancer Survivors

When Russian producer DJ Vadim was diagnosed with cancer earlier this month little did he know that he would form a bond with fellow cancer patient and producer Quincey Tones.

Quincey, who has worked with such artists as Lil Wayne, Talib Kweli [click to read] and Littler Brother [click to read], related his own life threatening struggle with a germ cell tumor to Vadim. Quincy then decided to come public with the story.

"Hip Hop genuinely saved my life,” said the London producer.

The relationship between the two producers has begun an effort to help as many people as possible battle through cancer. “You’ve got to find something that you love from the bottom of your heart, focus on it, and know that you can’t let it down,” Quincey said.

And he is doing just that by not only staying close to family and friends but by working on a new album. “Wanting to make this album gave me something to fight for,” he said.
