Give peace a chance. This week in 1969, more than 2 million people gathered all over the country and in Washington, D.C., to demonstrate for peace in Vietnam in the largest protest in U.S. history. Candlelight vigils were held for those killed since the beginning of the war in 1961. By the end of the year, 45,000 American troops had been killed.
This commemorative piece presents a number of vintage photographs from that historic nationwide war protest, as well as a memorable documentary short-film.
