some years back she started talking about when she gets on stage its not her but some alter her name sasha she says this spirit possess her and takes over. a lot of singers say stuff like this all the time and does stuff like this all the time.
like when cats get drunk or high and jump on stage they get so loose thats its not even them and least to them it some one else. its like with the new mary j blige i am not feeling it all it might be because im a man but damn. i guess i got to settle with kiesha cole.

richjm, I remember hearing (or reading?) the same thing some time ago. She said that when she's on stage she's a different person and she named that person Sasha. It didn't come to mind immediately but after you said that I do recall her saying that she wouldn't want to deal with her onstage self offstage. To me, it seems rather odd to name yourself and album after someone you prefer not to be around.

At any rate, I think this album is going to be crap. All the tracks I've heard from it were a chore to listen to.

Now that I've read the article, I'm more interested in the story of L'Oréal lightening her skin in advertisements than her "name change".

I read something similar to Holly - 'Sasha' is her stage alter-ego and she taps into this persona to bring out a different side to herself.

Weirdly, Beyonce has said: "I wouldn't like Sasha if I met her offstage. Oh, no. She's too aggressive, too strong, too sassy, too sexy! I'm not her in real life at all. I'm not flirtatious and super-confident and fearless like her."
