IF ONLY..... As a song transcends politics, race, hatred, religion, political boundaries, poverty, wealth, homelessness, drugs and gang violence, then the song can trascend every other human problem or condition.
IF ONLY........we could live the message of this song!
IF ONLY........we could lay down our differences we could lay down our hatred.
IF ONLY........we could enjoy the similarities among us and rejoice in the differences.
IF ONLY........we could stand by each other, naked in front of the vastness of this universe and its creator.
IF ONLY........we could live with each other without greed but in love and understanding. The way we know is right.
IF ONLY........we could, then this world would be the wonderful and joyous place it is meant to be.
IF ONLY........we took the power of love and understanding and used it for the betterment of all man-kind.
IF ONLY........we could take one day and proclaim it a day to "STAND BY ME"! On this day we offer help where help is needed, we give of ourselves what our brothers and sisters need and together we lift them up to take their rightful place in this universe as human beings.
