"A joyful Martin, 36, spoke candidly with 'PEOPLE' at home in Puerto Rico about his desire to be a parent, the decision to seek the help of a surrogate and juggling caring for twins – he has no nanny!"

I am sure that we can all sleep more soundly at night knowing that the family-values-all-children-have-a-right-to-have-both-a-father-and-a-mother, anti-gay, pro-Proposition 8 crowd are working hard to protect us from families such as that of Ricky Martin's. If they had their way, the boys in this photograph would be banned, and only people who conceived "naturally," preferably only those in traditional man-woman marriages in which birth control was never used, would be allowed to have children.

Speaking strictly for myself, I think that Ricky Martin reflects true family values, and all that I would say to him would be "Congratulations! The boys are adorable, and you look so very happy!"

    • Why does a person have to reveal what their sexual preferences are? Why do we expect this person to reveal his very personal life but we don't ask the same of others in the public eye?

What consenting adults do with each other is none of our business. Who cares who the man sleeps with? Seriously. Don't we have better things to worry about as the US government plans on throwing billions at companies that are clearly incapable of managing themselves and the Canadian government is not far behind on the same issue?

      Good grief people.
