King Khan & the Shrines

NouveauCocteau
King Khan and the Shrines are a raucous, soulful, garage rock band from Berlin whose live show is notoriously boisterous and full of turpitude. While on tour, Khan returns to his old neighborhood in Montreal, Canada where he meets up with some of his punk rock buddies, Bloodshot Bill and the Demon's Claws lead singer, Jeff Clarke. He inaugurates the first annual Books & Ribs sale, writes a song about it, and reveals how he changed his name from Black Snake to King Khan to make answering the phone easier on his mother.
