The BBC are tipping relative UK newcomer, Little Boots or Victoria Hesketh as her mum calls her, as 'one to watch' in 2009 after crowning her top of their Sound of 2009 list of the brightest new music stars
Little Boots began gaining recognition for her music late into last year when videos of her covering famous tracks began to surface on Youtube. Her catchy, pop -influenced sound has proved a massive hit, both on radio and in the clubs, most notably her 'Stuck on Repeat' track that got a tasty remix by breakbeat giant, Fake Blood. For once, I think the BBC are bang on the money with their prediction, and quite frankly, she has an admirable approach to being a 'pop artist' saying:
"There's room in popular culture to do things that are creative and not exactly straightforward. Just because something has got the possibility to appeal to a mainstream audience doesn't mean you've got to be bland."
And to top it all off, the original version of 'Stuck on Repeat' is available for free download on iTunes.

It means Victory Rose in Icelandic. If you did something well, wouldn't you like a nice flower?
If you say no, you're lying.
