Oh well, Robert Plant's been doing a heck of a job singing folk music with Alison Krauss. I think I'll live.

"Zep", recorded live September 19, 1970, Madison Square Garden, NY, NY., the day after Jimi Hendrix' passing. Robert has a few words to say before they play, "That's The Way".
This video is what it is. I'm more about the rare performance. - 3 years ago

I went to a Page/Plant concert quite a few years back and I have to say that they really had it together.
That being said, If they want to call it over that's their decision.
I just wish they would've asked me first! - 3 years ago

Anyone that cares that much needs to evolve..unless they were conceived at a show. Classic means over played. Classic rock is just that.

To be a sucess touring nowadays you have to have many more popular songs than they have. Jason could pull it off, but his fathers style is impossible to really copy. He practiced on a rubber pad for years before he could actually afford a drum set. Plus,...Plant honestly couldn't pull it off anymore. Page could, john Paul sure. But Plant didn't keep himself up to snuff. Plus, if Plant and Page can ever fupp John Paul Jones they always do. I don't know what exactly JPJ did back in the day, but it must have really pissed P and P off.

Led Zeppelin was the first mega group basically - they set a new standard for having an immense amount of popular songs.

Last time I checked they've been done for almost 30 years now. Jason Bonham is not, nor will he ever be the drummer his father was.

Oh MY GOD, it is the rock and Roll Gods truth. I grew up listening to both. I have seen both in concert, The stones in three different decades. There simply is no comparison. I mean I like Zeppelin, but I and the rest of the world love the stones. The stones have had numerous number 1 hits in many decades. Zep was an album band and only had a handful of actual hits. Brush up on your music history Zep was only a band for 12 years or less. Nice to embelish a memory , but Zep couldn't polish the stones shoes. Lasy year only two groups made a profit touring number 2 was U2. Guess who number 1 was.? That's Right. The stones invented arena concerts, sold out to 100,000 or more people. Man you don't have a clue.

Nobody rocked like these guys - from Good Times Bad Times to Wearing And Tearing. Thanks for the memories I wish I could remember, as the background music for having too much fun in the 70s!
