I'm very glad that Kings of Leon, Elbow and Florence and the Machine won things, but I'm very very not glad that Katy Perry won anything. I don't think Duffy deserved to win that much either.

They needed to mic the audience, because you couldn't hear them laugh and so it sounded like every single joke had a tumbleweed silence (partly true). And it'd be cool if they had more quirky categories - best male is so boring (and inevitably the same few acts clean up all categories because they're so similar). All in all, a bit underwhelming.

I LOVE KINGS OF LEON.... SEXXY HUSKY VOICE, AND DREAMY EYES! I'M 16 AGAIN! HAHAHA.
I know, cheesy, but the guy (Caleb Followill) is a dreamboat... YES!, a dreamboat. And I've always thought so. He does look much better with scruff and short hair.

I wasn't able to watch it this year as I was out at a gig watching Black Kids (who rocked) but I had my trusted iphone and was following the Brits2009 twitter feed.
Not overly surprised at any of the winners to be honest, it was a dead cert that Weller was going to get the Best British Solo Male after all the bookies stopped taking bets on the awards fearing someone had leaked details of the winners.
