The best-selling album, whose full title is "Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!," was produced by Brian Eno and features the band's stripped-down version of the Rolling Stones hit "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction."
The band from Akron, Ohio, are known for their experimental music videos, absurdist lyrics and theatric costumes.

I absolutely loved DEVO. I had some of those albums
and thought the song and video of Beautiful World was awesome!! Quite a commentary! - 3 years ago

I took my kids to see DEVO in Akron last year and it was spectacular! Great first concert - good luck DEVO!

I think I will forever wonder why they have aq golf ball on their album cover. They don't sing about playing golf. Anyway, that was one of their most amazing albums! Their second album was nit quite as good. The "Sophmore Jinx"? A band's second album is not always as good as their debut.

I love Devo. More specifically, I love Mark Mothersbaugh. Wish that they were doing the special performance over here, though...

I actually saw them perform live back when this album came out in 1978. It was a great show! They were really energetic and fun. The local news media sent a reporter and a van to cover the story, and didn't realize that Devo fans would greet them sarcastically. It was pretty funny.

haha, I've decided just to sensor my comment before I say anything offensive. I wonder what their concerts were like? I'd imagine they'd be passing out heroin at the door.

Saw them at The Great Western Forum in Los Angeles
in 1980. The Freedom Of Choice tour.
A band that went by the name of DOVE opened up.
Turned out it was DEVO pretending to be another band.
Pretty wild as DOVE sounded nothing like DEVO. - 3 years ago
