First of all, I don't identify with Britney Spears, her image, or the cult of pop tartlet idolatry.

Second, why are some of these albums gendered? I love The Clash's "London Calling," but that is because it is a phenomenal album. HUMANS should own it, I don't think being a lady has anything to do with it.

this list is pretty good but quite predictable... I mean, No Doubt? Saw that coming. It's weird to see Britney Spears on a list with Elvis Costello.

This list made me realised I'm such a girl...I can't live without some of these albums, Portishead dummy, bjork vespertine, except for stupid britney. What the fuck was that. That's more of an album dumb annoying brats should own.

Maybe the Esquire list didn't have enough recent albums, but this one does itself a disservice by skimming over the past. Where are the 60's girl groups? The Supremes at the very least seem like they should have made the list, if not the Ronettes, Shirelles, Marvelettes, etc. If "Every Woman" overlooks the vocal chords behind "Mama Said", then what are we supposed to sing into our hairbrushes at slumber parties?

the correct answer to this is "any 75 albums she enjoys."

really those both these lists are silly imo

why exactly 'should' a man or woman own these albums? In order to not offend the author?

Did better than the men's list, but how do you put Dead Kennedys on the same list as Britany Spears, Christina Aguilera, and some of the other pop artists on there? I have eclectic taste in music, but that just seems contradictory.
