Mos Def Challenges Jay-Z & Lil Wayne To A Battle?

TravG73
Mos Def recently challenged everyone from Jay-Z and Lil Wayne to Beanie Sigel to a battle and even promises that he will win. Standing outside with his people while in Detroit, Mos said he would be willing to take part in a rap battle pay-per-view event.

    • Of course Mos Def would win! Mos Def is a real MC, where JZ and Lil Wayne are just candy rappers. Talent will always prevail and those guys cater to DUMB kids!

    • They need to put this on every major station and stream it live on the internet. Yes, it would be THAT big. How dope would it be if this thing actually happened and then more great emcees signed on and this turned into a seasonal event. HIP HOP WANTS IT!!! As long as they do it right, I don't want to see any wack 106 & Park Freestyle Friday type garbage. I may be wrong, but I think they had Yung Berg as a judge once....and that should NEVER happen.

    • Wayne is out! I don't know what language he speaks but it's not a real one. Mighty mos would prevail. Go back to the lyricist lounge days

    • Mos says what he feels, which is a good quality to have, especially if it's intellectual. If this pay-per-view event was to go down, it would without a doubt be a big seller.

Judge selection would be a crucial process.

    • Rap battles tend to be determined by shallow, personal insults. Mos Def is a deep, complex artist. I love Mos, but I'm not sure how he'd stand in such a trivial forum.

Besides that, this is just some drunken mutterings by a man. I don't give this much credence.

    • Are you kidding me? As I'm sure any rap fan over 25, I would pay big to see an event like this!!! I'm not sure who would come out on top, but let's see what's up for real!! Live event. Viewer vote in via text and internet. Winner take all.
