Liza Minelli begs producers of Anne Hathaway/Judy Garland biopic not to show drugs!
The lovely Anne Hathaway will be starring as Minelli's late mum in the Weinstein Company's two- fer - a Broadway musical AND film based on Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland.
Liza who approved the casting off Hathaway is hopeful the film will focus on her superstar mother's talent and not the well documented descent into drug addled madness.
"Well, I love Anne Hathaway," Liza said. "And I hope that it's a good movie and I hope that it's true. You know, that they don't just concentrate on the crap like they usually do.
"(I hope) that they talk about her the way she should be talked about which was she was a fabulous entertainer, a great mother and just a wonderful human being."
If you approved the casting, didn't you approve the script as well, Liza?

Thats just dumb, she wants to honor her mom and I appreciate that but you also have to be honest. She had her own trouble to deal with, she of all people should know.

The problem with that is Liza approved the Actors and as per sources the script for the movie as well. Sure Judy was the greatest Entertainer but the drug use did bring her down. Any Bio-Movie made on Judy would have to show the truth.
