Fire a member of U2! First ever Crowd-Sourced Pink Slip

The Times UK published an article yesterday about how even the world’s richest musicians have suffered tremendous financial losses over the past year. Times are tight, and cutbacks aren’t enough. It’s time for layoffs, so each day this week, we’re giving you a chance to fire a member of a band. Here's how it goes:

1. You watch a video we post from the band on the chopping block.

2. You vote in the comment section for who you think should be fired.

3. You also write a line why they should be fired.

4. We tally the votes and copy & paste together the reasons you all submitted to create the first ever crowd-sourced pink slip/ mad lib and post it on our blog the following morning, then maybe we'll create a fake email address and send it to the band with David Fricke's name on it.

For instance today’s band is U2, so you could write, “Dear the Edge, it has come to our attention that you have been in the band for over 20 years and yet you still play guitar like a third grader with a flipper hand, thus, you are fired.“

Also, feel free to suggest bands that need to have someone fired.

    • Bono- we asked you hundreds of times not to, but you still insisted on wearing those ridiculous boots at every show. then for this last album, you even wrote a song called "get on your boots." we were left with no option.

    • WTF???!!! U2 is an awesome group & this is stupid to even attempt to pick on them like this! I do how ever have a list of musicians that NEED to be fired! I'll make it a 100 artist that NEED to quit making music list! If I were to have to fire a member of U2 though I would have to fire the drummer! He's the lest visible member of the band & when your a major successful band like U2,being the unseen member isn't a very good Idea! We really should be talking about musicians that suck though like Kanye West! He absolutely NEEDS to get his whiney ass off the stage & out of the recording studio! He has ruined more good songs by rapping over them then any artist in recent history!
