avoiding such huge loss of life would have been high.
Whichever view one takes of the situation...., there can be no doubt that it is
civilian women and children, the elderly and peaceful who suffer the brunt of the pain.
At what costs these wars and injuries? For violence cuts deeper than metal and
bomb blasts anihilate generations of wisdom - may we all regenerate strength
and hope to work together in preserving our beautiful home and our generous humanity."
