    • Grizzly Bear and Phoenix have become two of my most favorite bands since their newest releases. Phoenix managed to put so much original style into their album and put the whole album together very well. Grizzly Bear throws in the harmonies of the several talented voices along with amazing musical accompaniment that gives the band an incredible sound. Altogether, I think that both albums were very well arranged and gives both bands great potential for success. Really amazing stuff!

    • the new Phoenix album in my opinion is going to stand out as one of the best albums this year. Admittedly I'm one to shoot doubt at people who make bold statements such as that early on but from repeated listens it's about as good as it can get.

It's catchy, undeniably upbeat and almost isolates a unique landscape that reminds this reviewer of the joys of summer and childhood. Whatever methods they used making the album it shows that they were having fun the entire way through and somehow came on the back end with a 9 track album that stands each song up by itself but they still stand together and each and everyone will be looped in your head for some time, though I doubt you'll have contention with it.

This is the first album of the year where I honestly put each track in at 5 stars a piece.
