Naked Cowboy Asked Not to Perform in Ohio, Considered "Indecent"

The Naked Cowboy (Robert Burck), legendary tourist attraction in Times Square, is supposed to perform in his hometown of Greenhills, OH. The mayoral candidate has asked the city council to protest the performance, calling the Naked Cowboy inappropriate.

The Naked Cowboy still plans to perform, with or without the city's blessing.

This is an interesting case because I always wondered how the Naked Cowboy got away with his act in NYC because of indecency laws. Maybe I need to brush up on my free speech and the first amendment law book but something seems sketchy here...
