Sara K. Smith, 21, of Floral Park, told the state trooper who stopped her friend's car in Baldwin on July Fourth that she was rapping to a song by gangsta rap group N.W.A, police said Monday.
"She then asked the trooper if he had ever heard of N.W.A," State Police spokesman Frank Bandiero said. The trooper told Smith he hadn't, Bandiero said.
The trooper issued a summons to Smith for disorderly conduct, including obscene language and gestures, police said.

whatever happened to the first amendment?
yeah, the rap can be considered disrespectful to police; however, when did disrespect become a crime?
its (unfortunately) laughable in society to trash homosexuals or the mentally challenged, but damn, don't trash talk a cop -- they've got a badge, a gun, and a license to fuck up your life.
