Pensioner Couple Regularly Raves til 3am

Jack and Jean Atkinson, both 83, can rave with the best of them. They're often caught partying 3 or 4 times a week until 3am at the Liquid And Envy Club in Rotherham.

Jean dons dazzling outfits she designs herself, while Jack incorporates the styles into his outfits to match.

John said: 'We get 100 per cent respect from all the younger clubbers. We must have hundreds of adopted grandchildren from our clubbing. They all say "I wish you were my parents or grandparents." We can speak to them about boyfriends, money, sex and babies. It's surprising the number of people who come up to Jean and ask her advice. The young people are fantastic and keep us young.'

Jean added: 'We are always out to have a good time. We want to make the most out of our lives while we can.'

Liquid And Envy Club has given the couple free lifetime memberships.

    • This is what I want to be like with my future wife when we're 83..okay, maybe not dressed in those particular outfits, but full of life and still standing strong!

      I can imagine them dancing to The Prodigy tracks.

    • I was at Uni in Sheffield and used to earn a bit of extra beer money handing out fliers for a rival club outside this club. Wow what a place, the things you'd see and hear there, and the offers you'd get from some of the locals - lovely. It's a miracle they're still alive.

    • There was a guy at a club in Torqauy who must've been well into his 70s a few years back. We called him Disco Dave, although we were never sure Dave was actually his name...

      I love that some older people can still feel happy going out to clubs that are predominantly filled with young'uns.
